ABBEY SPANIER INVESTIGATES METLIFE BANK NA FOR FAILING TO PAY ALL COMMISSIONS DUE TO ITS MORTGAGE CONSULTANTS CONTRARY TO EXPRESS REPRESENTATIONS MADE IN THE NOTICE OF POSITION ELIMINATION

Abbey Spanier is currently investing potential claims against MetLife Bank for failure to pay all compensation owed to its Mortgage Consultants. MetLife Bank allegedly agreed in a Notification of Position Elimination disseminated on or about January 13, 2012, that it would pay its Mortgage Consultants commissions on all loans closed on or before March 31, 2012. However, when those commissions were due, MetLife Bank allegedly reneged on that agreement and refused to pay commissions owed for loans closed after February 2012. Abbey Spanier is investigating whether MetLife Bank's failure to pay commissions on loans closed through March 31, 2012 violates state law.
